Cledddau Ospreys

From the Lawrenny side of the Cresswell River around 1:30 p.m. I watched an Osprey fishing over at West Williamston. It made one failed plunge and continued up  river towards Cresswell Quay. An hour or so later an Osprey was fishing in Garron Pill and then along Beggars Reach. Whilst watching this bird another Osprey flew past fairly high in the general direction of Landshipping. So, 2 quite likely 3, Ospreys in the Cleddau River system.

The Garron Pill bird (unringed, juvenile) made 3 failed fishing attempts and it was fourth time lucky when it caught a large fish in the mouth of the Pill. Obligingly it flew past with it's catch heading in the direction of the Cresswell River
