As I had to leave early this morning I popped down again for a couple of hours 4-6. But no sign of LYL, in fact really quiet. Female Kestrel and female Sparrowhawk, plus a passage of Swallows all day heading eastwards. Records in the log of the Marsh Harrier being seen earlier with multiple Marsh Harriers seen together as well this afternoon might explain the quietness. A visiting birder, who was unaware of the LYL, had seen a Little Stint and had a brief view of an unidentified grey-headed wader.
