A pre-WeBS recce this evening from Patch, 1 Sanderling, 30 Dunlin, 10 Ringed Plover.
Warblers;-
The best early Autumn passage for a few years, the figures are from ringing on the Reserve.
New Chiffchaffs ringed on the 3rd, 5th, and 6th(today)...44, 35, and 5.
Likewise Blackcaps..26, 22, and 12.
Most of the other warblers are now in much smaller numbers.
Wagtails;-
Unlike the warblers, most having left us already, wagtails are still increasing.
