Teifi WeBS

The noise of Canada Geese was deafening as I started my count at 7am - 1,065 initially on the water and then flying low overhead out to Cardigan Island. With them were the 2 regular Bar-headed Geese and 2 Snow Geese.
Rather nicer on the Geese theme were 6 Light-bellied Brent Geese, an unusual species for the Teifi. Later in the day there were 100 Barnacle Geese too - double last years maximum count.
Waders included 6 Bar-tailed Godwit, 10 Ringed Plover, 23 Dunlin and a Sanderling. The 2 Little Stint didn't arrive until later and were gone by the evening.
10 Wigeon have arrived back already.
