Marloes Mere and Treehill Fields

Not much on the Mere this morning but 30 Lapwing on the nearby fields were the first sizeable flock in the area.  Few ducks visible but a steady passage of Skylarks over the Mere and especially the Treehill fields  numbered at least 300 and probably a lot more as they were constantly flushed from the vegetation along with a small number of Meadow Pipits.
A few Chough around Martins Haven but the valley was very quiet - just a couple of Chaffinch and Stonechats.
