Highlights today were a record (?) 19 house sparrows (all female), a family group of 5 mute swans (second Ramsey record) heading down the Sound this afternoon and a lesser whitethroat (also here yesterday). Also of note - movements of skylarks and chaffinch this morning, 10 song thrush, a grey wagtail, a reed bunting, a lapwing (first since the end of the breeding season), 8 buzzards, 7 goldfinch, a blue tit, 3 great tit, a wheatear and 2 collared doves (1 that became a peregrine's lunch!)
