Did the roost tonight with Brian Southern, a rather different mix than a few nights back with more Lesser Black-backs, Black-headed & Common Gulls, but less Herrings. The Black-heads in particular were very skittish for some reason, which is frustrating for the hardened gull-rooster! Highlight again was the rather handsome (and brutish)
adult Ring-billed Gull, a crisp first calendar-year (1CY)
Yellow-legged Gull, and at least
5 Mediterranean Gulls (2 adults, 2 2CY & 1 1CY). Love this place!
