Couldn't resist an attempt at seeing the Red-necked Grebe at Angle today, and it showed really well from the west end of the bay, about 200m beyond the Point House Inn. Also there at least 8 Great-crested Grebes, but I could not locate yesterday's Slavonian. Also in the bay 42 Brent Geese (40 pale bellied, 2 dark bellied), 17 Bar-tailed Godwits and a Knot.
Earlier at Newgale a female Pintail, a drake Shoveler, 3 Wigeon, around 150 Teal, 30 Mallard and 35 Common Scoter riding the massive surf offshore in 2 groups. Another 31 Common Scoter surfing at Druidston.
