Angle grebes

Highlights of a wonderful day out "south of the River" yesterday (many thanks to Steve and Anna for driving and guiding) were the wildfowl and waders on Angle Bay. The wind made using a scope on the East side hard, but there were at least 30 Pale breasted Brent Geese there.

West Angle was far easier for both birds and birders, and we found the Red-necked Grebe along with a couple of Great Crested Grebes and a smart Slavonian Grebe for comparison. Also a Great Northern Diver. Amongst the large number of Dunlin, a small flock of Turnstone and some Black-tailed Godwits.
