From Sue jenkins -Just to record sighting today of 4 crossbills yesterday in Pantmaenog forest just inside the boundary near the track to Rosebush from Bwlch Pennant at approx 4pm. 2 females drank from fresh water running down the track, and were seen at close quarters. They flew off to join 2 other birds that could not be seen clearly. The group of 4 were seen and heard calling several times over the forest in the next hour and a half. Also 6 lesser redpolls there.
