A quick trip to Newport revealed a Common Sandpiper and Greenshank upstream and a sparkling Iceland Gull preening downstream.
Beautiful male Redstart in the sun at the top of Pengelli Forest along
with numerous male and female Blackcaps in courtship mode. Willow
Warblers and Chiffchaffs singing, but no sign of Pied Flycatchers or
Whitethroats yet.
