St Ann's Head and the Gann

Lots of farming activity between Kete and St Ann's bodes well for the coming weeks. Flock of 75 linnet, and couple of flocks of a dozen and 20 juv Goldfinch. 20 Pied wagtails and 6 White wags scattered between the last three fields, majority of birds in the ploughed field approaching the head. A few Pied wags dodging between the cattles hooves in the last field. 2 Chough.
Gann last light. The 2 Knot looked stunning in the evening rays with a single Dunlin (the only small wader). 4 Black-tailed godwit, 4 Redshank, 3 Whimbrel, a Greenshank, a Bar-tailed godwit and a Common sandpiper. 85 Oystercatcher. Lots of corvids. 12 Little egret and 4 Heron all actively chasing fry along the rising tideline. A Peregrine causing panic just as the light was going so couldn't tell if it was successful. Nice to be out!
