Carew/Milton Greylags, and a Goshawk

For the last couple of nights at around 16.55, just as it's getting dark, greylags have flown over the house > SE (too dark to see them). This morning at around 09.45, a skein of 50 flew over >NW. Where are they spending the night?

Shortly afterwards, heading for Radford Pill along the "Carding Mill Nature Trail" behind Milton Water Works, the huge grey shape of a goshawk perched in a tree, with her (it must have been a female) back to me. I was just in time to catch a fierce glare over her left shoulder before she slipped away through the trees. Magpies perched on the extreme tops of trees were keeping an eye on things. Radford Pill quiet, most ducks downstream towards Lawrenny, but 6 greenshank.
