It was a frustrating early morning trying to dodge the "
Pembrokeshire Dangler" and watch large numbers of starlings leave the Miscanthus roost. Before heavier rain set in an early morning kingfisher was feeding along the Eastern Cleddau and approx 50 greylags headed north over the Eastern Cleddau to feed somewhere. A small flock of about 15 Stock Doves flew into the fields near the A40.
Some very large flocks of starlings came in again at dusk. At first it seemed possible that they would be back at the the reed-bed roost, although in the end the Miscanthus was their preferred location again.

Yesterday's common sandpiper was still present on the shore at dusk and several water rails could be heard calling in the Slebech reed-bed.
Just as it was getting dark a presumed pair of goshawks crossed the river, briefly coming together to grasp talons before parting - the male heading north, the female heading south.
