Lapland bunting - Dale airfield

A Lapland bunting in the second stubble field, opposite the stumps, with 100+ Chaffinch. Impossible to see on the ground but flight views and calling as they move around. Also flushed a Short-eared owl. About a dozen Snipe.
The Gann: As Derek mentions the Slav Grebe was still there with 13 Little grebe. 25 Teal, 15 Wigeon, 3 Goldeneye (2f). 14 Ringed plover, 8 Bar-tails. The GN diver out in the bay.
Llys-y-fran this evening: First visit this autumn. Distant and congested roost so hard to see majority of individual gulls. c7,500 in total. (1500 BH gulls). 10 Wigeon and a Kingfisher. Had a good chat to the ranger, who reported the Bar-headed goose had been seen here with the Canada flock (which numbered around 250).
