Highlights of a walk around the end of the Marloes Peninsular were a flock of c.40 Golden Plover in with the one of the three flocks of 100+ Lapwing on the Trehill Farm fields.
These flushed early, and flew off, but the Lapwing are more settled. A scan through these picked up three Ruff feeding on the short grass. I was particularly interested by how large they looked: both the height and bulk of the Lapwings.
The hedges are simply stuffed with Song Thrushes. And plenty of Chaffinches in the valley.
