The Gann

Spent a drizzly hour or so there this morning. Snipe numbers have begun to build, 82 counted today, with birds on the path, on foreshore, around the pools and along the river. No doubt many more on the marsh itself. Female Mergansers on the pool and on the river. 16 Little grebe (13 on pools, 3 on river). A Common sandpiper on the river. Good numbers of large gulls inc a Skokholm ringed GBB (drizzle on scope made it hard to see, best guess W140 or W149), 3 adult Med gulls. A Chiffchaff in the scrub near car park. Earlier a Red Kite was cruising roof-high around Tesco car park, H'west, they're increasingly regular around H'west/Neyland/Milford these days.
