The 3 Eider were still off Wiseman's Bridge yesterday afternoon along with 18+ RT Diver, 3 GC Grebes and a few distant groups of Scoter, around 600.
At Amroth this morning, 8 RB Mergansers, 13 RT Diver offshore and an adult Med Gull on the beach. There are two large groups of Scoters off the east end of the beach and both were just out of scoping range today.
However, off Marros Beach, just over the border into Carmarthenshire, there was a group of 1,000+ Scoter reasonably close offshore and well within scoping distance. It didn't take long to pick out a smart drake Surf Scoter in the flock, just before all the drizzle set in!
