Withybush Wagtail roost - an update

This evening we managed to observe the pied wagtail roost from a fairly reasonable and quite sheltered location (a bus shelter - it was raining most of the time).

We watched in excess of 420 wagtails go to roost. Some additional birds could also have sneaked in (snuck in if you prefer!) by flying quite low around the buildings from the north or the west and so our count could still have been an underestimate.

Being less than 5 km from Camrose (in a straight wagtail flight-line) makes us wonder if last winter's masked wagtail could possibly have roosted here? Assuming that this is a regular winter roost location for wagtails over that sort of radius around Haverfordwest?

Wishing everyone a very Happy and good birding New Year!
