A single marsh harrier was keeping flocks of snipe on the move over the reedbed. Lots of lapwing - over 1000 in several groups, plus 2-300 golden plover overhead. 2 chough were feeding noisily in the fen meadow near the main track. 120 fieldfares around Starman's Hall, another 20 or 30 in the area past the hide. A flock of 70+ linnets. 2 swans in the distance turned out to be mutes. No ducks at all, as has been the case recently.
