From Steve Jarvis - Plenty of action in Lochvane, 7
Snipe, a Great Spotted Woodpecker hammering, Peregrine calling, lots of
Long Tailed Tits and several Grey Wagtail. Walking from St Justinians
about 100 Golden Plover and 50 Lapwing were in the fields towards
Pencarnan. A Sparrow Hawk engaged in a vertical chase with a Pipit
(eventually unsuccessful) and a female Kestrel followed us round the
campsite. As we walked back to St Justinian a large black cat raced
across the road in front of us and emerged form the grass with a
struggling Snipe! I gave chase but the cat vanished into the nearby
Farm.
