Minus 3 C this morning at Minwear Woods and the birds were feeding feverishly. Masses of Blue Tits and a few Great Tits. A lone Nuthatch and 4 G S Woodpeckers around with some drumming.
Early morning there were 200+ Redwings in the field at the back of my house in St Florence and late afternoon 45 Golden Plover - echoing Sam's report we only see Golden Plover here when it is exceptionally cold.
