I took advantage of the free bus to Cardigan from Haverfordwest today with a trip to Newport. The highlight was a Jack Snipe flushed from the saltmarsh. Also a 3cy Med Gull, a Woodcock, 6 Common Snipe, 40 Dunlin, 8 Knot, 1 Bar-tailed Godwit, 6 Ringed Plover, 10 Redshank, 35 Wigeon and 15 Teal. Redwings were widespread in good numbers with fewer Fieldfare.
