Dale

Jack snipe flushed from the pond edge and the Hooded crow in the stubble field near the main gate at Dale airfield. I was grateful for the shelter of Dereks car and lift down after I'd walked up from the village in just a jumper. Over at the Gann, the four Whoopers were just leaving heading back towards the airfield at 4pm. A probable Water pipit was with a dozen Rock pipit close to the white post, rooting through the masses of seaweed washed up along the beach, but just as I'd spotted a 'bigger whiter pipit', in typical fashion it flew off about 100m towards the car park. Had a good look up and back again but couldn't refind it.
