Martin’s Haven Dawn and Dusk

Drove out of Martin’s Haven in the dark this morning, on out way to the Unknown Wales conference in Cardiff. The surprise as we left were the sheer number of Song Thrushes on the road, presumably eating snails, worms, and the possibly odd Toad that still seems to be out and about?
A nice surprise was a Great-spotted Woodpecker, flushed from a hedge.
This evening, a quick walk out to the Deer Park gave great views of a (the?) female/immature Merlin over Renny’s Slip, as it circled around.
