Eastern Cleddau

An unexpected bonus for being unavoidably late with my WEBS count was a great white egret on the Landshipping shore. It was hunting vigorously in shallow water, lunging at fish and at a feeding cormorant which came too close. A lot going on - 46 Canadas and 105 greylags were mixed together on the shore, before flying off noisily to join another group on the Hook side. There was also a restless flock of 800+ golden plover on Landshipping point.
