Watch out!

We noticed a sudden influx of scores of hirundines over Mathry, mainly house martins dropping down out of some heavy cloud that suddenly appeared out of a clear blue sky! As the current population of HM's in Mathry seems to be no more than four nests it seemed that these were migrants. A strangely flying flapping and gliding medium sized bird had me guessing,  but not able to id it although my first thought was cuckoo. (no bins)  Then a couple of very tatty kites passed over from the north. I suspect there might be  a bit of a fall going on at least locally, I would not be surprised if something interesting turned up!
