Between the downpours by The Webley at high tide there were 29 Sandwich Terns and a Common Tern. Almost equal numbers of adults and juveniles.
Combined wader counts from mine and Rich D's a bit later were 25 Sanderling, 3 Turnstone, 1 Redshank, 8 Black-tailed Godwit, 29 Ringed Plover, 49 Dunlin and 1 juvenile Med Gull.
Just upstream below the gun battery in addition to the above there was a Greenshank and an increase in Little Egrets to 12, roosting with 5 Grey Herons. Opposite St Dogmael's Quay 2 Knot amongst the 92 Curlew, 1 Whimbrel and 72 Oystercatcher.
