Flight views only of the Dotterel at 3pm (at the opposite end of the field it was in yesterday). Picked up its purr-purr-purr call and followed it overhead and watched it appear to drop down beyond the intersection in the rough grass. Despite Andy Bookless, visiting Malvern birder Simon, and Lisa having a good look there was no further sign. I spent 3 hours combing the area to no avail. Could well have continued on. Tommy Evans managed some photos just before I got there, see Twitter link opposite.
A Whinchat on the eastern boundary, where Dave and Lisa had one recently, dozen or more wheatear with 3-4 big peachy Greenland-types same area. Put up a solitary Snipe and a Curlew as I covered pretty much every inch of the airfield. 17 Ringed plover and dozen Dunlin on the intersection and 25 alba wagtails near the gate.
