A colour-ringed Herring Gull was on the sand by The Webley Hotel this morning
Blue 469 was ringed at Gloucester landfill site in October 2006 so it is now over 11 years old.
It has since been resighted many times at the Nevern Estuary in 2008 then 2015, 16 ,17 and 18 but not yet this year.
Around the estuary, numbers of waders and ducks were much as they have been for the last week with the addition of a Common Sandpiper. 8 Redshank ,15 Dunlin, 15 Ringed Plover, 1 Grey Plover, 1 Golden Plover and 11 Lapwing.
