We know that it’s not in Pembrokeshire but we (along with Jane
Hodges and a few others from the UK) are over in central Spain, attending the 5th
international chough workshop. The folk in the photograph below are watching
choughs as they come into roost on the magnificent cathedral in the old part of
Segovia.
As we look up at the choughs coming into roost (wondering if
this could ever be possible at St David’s?) we also are watching black vultures
and booted eagles flying high above the city. Crag martins and black redstarts
are also flying around the spires before they, too, go to roost there – it’s an amazing place!
