Hen harrier and Lapland bunting, Martins Haven

Male Hen harrier hunting over Marloes mere between 8 and 9 this morning and the same bird down by Martins Haven an hour or so later. A Lapland bunting calling over in the same area, were the pick of the sightings as Derek and I did our first NT Wintering Farmland birds visit (thanks to Pete Smithies and Rob Thomas for allowing access to their fields). Merlin, Red kite, 2-3 Sparrowhawk, 3 Buzzard and 2 Peregrine also on the hunt.
An adult Yellow-legged gull on a rain-lashed mere yesterday, but no sign today. Yesterday there were 200-300 Herring gulls sheltering from the rain, today maybe a dozen. Also very few corvids, in recent weeks they've been around in their 100s.
