Hook WeBS

2 Common Sandpiper were the highlight of our WeBS count at Hook today.  A fantastic flock of Golden Plover was very hard to count, estimated over 1,000 birds.  448 Lapwing were easier to count.  No Godwits at all, just 2 Grey Plover, no Grey Herons and just 1 Little Egret.  Greenshank seem down a bit too, just 3 birds seen.  Teal still not here in their usual numbers - 197 counted, where there is usually 400+. (Dave & Lisa)

On the rising tide mid morning hundreds of large gulls on the lagoon at the Gann, mostly adult Lesser Black-backs.
