Ring-billed gull, Llys-y-fran

Really pleased to see the returning Ring-billed gull is back for another year. Approx 2500 gulls, majority LBB's, in a scattered roost with perhaps 500 more still in the surrounding fields. The roost formed just above the trout pens and spread right across the width. Viewing westward against a glistening surface meant determining mantle colour was difficult, so unusually for the time of year, Paul and I didn't pick out any adult YL gulls. A 1w Mediterranean gull and c20 Common gulls. 6 Goldeneye, 4 Teal and c8 GC grebe.
