2 Velvet Scoters were counted within a flock of C40 Common Scoter this PM in Whitesands Bay.
During fifteen years of looking out across the bay from our perch here in Pencarnan we have, until today, never listed any Scoter species within the bay, only flybys far out to sea, so this was an exceptional sighting for - dare I say? - the caravan list.
