The following record from David Gardner is worthy of note.
9 Whooper Swans briefly visited the flooded meadow on Long House Farm land between Trefin and the sea cliffs late on the afternoon of 26th October. A fox skirted the field and sat and watched them for a while but decided that there was no future in making a move on them. They were there until dark but had gone, presumably on to Southern Ireland, by morning.
