Marloes and Monk Haven

Another good mornings birding with Paul G, started with a Ringtail Hen harrier getting a buffeting high over the mere before continuing north. 4 Tufties in the North Irrigation pond (good news from Rosemary that the RN duck is still around). Paul and I gave the gulls at the Gann a good going over, majority were Common gulls. Best birds were two Slav grebe that flew across the bay before settling out towards the pontoon and a GC grebe. Finished off with a look in a pleasantly sheltered Monk Haven. 2 collybita Chiffchaff (one on the filter bed and another near the church end of the car park) with a Firecrest along the stream by the car park as well rounded off a good mornings birding.
