A Great Crested Grebe opp St. Dogmaels Quay was a surprise. Wildfowl numbers are generally decreasing, certainly 100's of Teal and Wigeon have already left.
Some of the less regular waders still to be found yesterday included 2 Greenshank, 4 Black-tailed Godwits and 3 Bar-tailed Godwits. A wander around the reserve with a thermal imager last night added 1 Woodcock and only 1 Snipe.
