North Pemb's weekend round up!

At last the NRW's reserve at Llangloffan Fen is open to the public and Fran heard a Cetti's there on Friday. Last evening I had a male Reed Bunting singing from some scrub besides the middle pond, whilst Voluntary Warden Mike and myself watched a flock of about forty Golden Plover fly over heading south.

Yesterday afternoon it was the outer breakwater/ Fishguard Harbour turning up the goods, with a distant Great Northern Diver and  a couple of Great Crested Grebes within the harbour. On the outer side of the breakwater there was a minimum of five Purple Sandpipers on the blocks.

Looking for the Tystie/Tystie's was unproductive with only a couple of Common Guillemots showing to seawards until Fran noticed the 1st winter (?)  bird skulking in a sheltered area towards Pebbly Beach.

Another sign of spring was this Cormorant in breeding plumage! But as yet, no Wheatear!
