The shrike was still around today, but mobile, moving from the top of the gorse/hawthorn scrubby hollow to the small trees further down. It moved between several of the isolated conifers, but a particular favourite location was on the highest tall bald branch of the largest holly bush, just off the path from the plantation. It is visible from a long way off when the sun is on it. Picture from lower down the hill shows the position of the holly bush relative to the rock.
