Update-
The Sandwich Tern (below) was ringed on 1st July 2015 as a nestling at Lady's Island Wexford.
As the Roseate Tern, birds from Irish colonies.
This evening Paul Warren gave me a ring number that was attached to a black leg, to help identify the species. The bird in question was a Sandwich Tern and was ringed as a a juvenile on the breeding site (to follow) on 1st July 2015. The leg was fresh so unfortunately one more adult Sandwich Tern is not making the journey back to it's colony. Presumably a Peregrine kill, found close to where a previous ringed leg proved to be of a Roseate Tern.
