Crabhall update

Waders continue to change on a daily basis, on this morning's high tide there was an impressive 83 Dunlin (most of which look just fabulous) and 26 Ringed Plover, as well as a smart Bar-tailed Godwit and 3 Whimbrel (which peaked at 20 on 24th).

Our moulting Great Northern Diver remains, and there was another (in non-breeding plumage) over in Dale this morning.

Highlight of our walk today, which extended from Dale up to Kete, was a singing Lesser Whitethroat in the scrubby area next to the Gann car park.  In total we amassed 19 Wheatear, most of which looked like Greenland types (3 at the Gann, 16 at Kete).  Also had plenty of Stonechats, and a half a dozen Whitethroats in the hedges.
