PS That's at least 16 wheatears in the last 11 days for this inland site. This is the first time in recent memory the area has been migrant wheatear-friendly: presumably in previous years they've just passed over, unnoticed.....

Ridgeway wheatears cont.
Two more huge fields have been ploughed, sown and rolled: 4 male Greenland types in the field nearest the Ridgeway. Some bemused skylarks wondering what's happened to their rough grassland. Otherwise, a few pied wagtails.
