Late afternoon a cracking flock of 62 Brent Geese (all pale bellied that we could see) on the rising tide.
A nice flock of 64 Oystercatchers included at least 8 colour-ringed birds, including one that I managed to catch in flight as the flock was forced to move by the incoming tide (can you read it?):
No small waders on the beach, but the single Dunlin was still hanging with her/his 12 Redshank mates and a single Greenshank. Nice to see a single Gannet fishing in the bay.
On the Chough front, Lisa recorded 2 here on 6th, and a flock of 8 on 2nd.
We have still yet to record a single hirundine, but Blackcaps are singing with gusto and we heard our first Willow Warbler yesterday.
