Martin’s Haven: raptors and warblers

A five raptor day today, starting with a Red Kite (a new one for the GLL) flying straight over the house towards Skomer, being ineffectually pursued by two crows.

Plenty of Buzzards, and the highlight was three perched falcons on various posts on the Trehill fields:  Kestrel, Merlin and Peregrine. We could not quite get them all in the same field of view, but could easily scan across all three.

On the Deer Park our first Whitethroat of the year was singing from a blackthorn bush. A Grasshopper Warbler was far less obliging!
