Oystercatcher 55

A surprise phone call a couple of weeks ago confirmed a resighting of our furthest recorded Oystercatcher (55). It was first ringed 7th March 2018, it’s never been resighted until it turned up on the 2nd April 2020 in Brynjudalsvogur, Hvalfjörður, Iceland (please use your own pronunciation!) Map below of many of our resighted Oystercatchers, the number is the individual colour ring on each bird. All Oystercatchers are ringed in Pembrokeshire, mainly in and around the Gann Estuary.
