Bits and pieces

On our way back from a short visit to Teifi Marshes last Saturday we noted a couple of slightly late swifts over the A478 just south of Cilgerran. Apart form large numbers of basking lizards, it seemed generally quiet in the marshes.

On Sunday, at Landshipping one of the many the local carrion crows spotted a juvenile Goshawk flying over the estuary and quickly chased it off its patch – almost too quick for it to be photographed.

Cheryl Hewitt got in touch with a couple of photos of a couple juvenile Common and Sandwich Terns that were terns trying to rest on Broadhaven South beach during the recent storm. They were having a hard time settling there unfortunately due to dogs chasing them.
