2 visits today produced 14 Black-tailed Godwits (3 adults, 14 juveniles - 3 of the latter on the beach), 1 Sanderling, 4 Dunlin, 2 Knot, 4 Ringed Plover, 9 Turnstone, 3 Little Egrets, 3 Sandwich Terns (2 adults, 1 juvenile) and 2 Mediterranean Gulls (both 1CY, one had a white darvic ring but too far away to read). A nice collection of large gulls produced 2 adult Great Black-backed Gulls from the Skokholm ringing project (W:235 and W:239, neither of which returned to Skokholm this year...). Also 2 male Wheatears, one of which looked peachy and large enough to be a Greenland bird, but seems a bit early for them to be heading back south.
On the airfield, a single Ringed Plover, 3 Wheatears and a Kestrel.
