Early morning seawatch produced: a sooty shearwater (first of the year), 5 bonxies (also first of the year!), 4 Arctic skuas and 6 Sandwich terns of note (plus 2 in the Sound later). Although the real spectacle was the non stop flood of kittiwakes moving through - at the peak I made it an hourly rate of 3,800. Good numbers of fulmars too, no doubt a lot of the fledglings that are now taking to the wing. Quiet on the land bird front today, the curlew flock is still here but only 11 logged today
