Kilpaison, Angle Harbour

On the dot of high tide this morning, a mixed flock of around 50 dunlin, ringed plover and turnstones were on the shore at Kilpaison. Dunlin were in assorted plumages, this turnstone still retained most of its summer plumage.

Also, a male wheatear was working the shore. Round at Angle Harbour, there was too much disturbance for a high tide roost, but I found another wheatear on the rocks by the ruined lifeboat station - I wasn't sure if it was a female or first autumn immature, comments gratefully received.
